Introduction to Mindfulness Course

  • 8 week online class (90 minutes; once a week; limited group size)
  • 5 different Mindfulness meditation techniques introduced over 8 weeks
  • Structured classes with dedicated time for both instruction and practice
  • Guided take-home exercises to build your skill set, most requiring just 10 minutes per day
  • Guided meditation videos recorded by Dr. Brian after each class to help reinforce the skills you’ve just learned
  • One-on-one focus session for each participant with Dr. Brian during 8 week period

Level 2: More Mindful Living

  • Building on the techniques presented in Lumen’s prerequisite Introduction to Mindfulness course, we will explore new techniques and also investigate how your mindfulness skills can be put to use in dealing with challenging pain, needed self-compassion, and other life situations
  • 6-week online class (90 minutes; once a week; limited group size) for those who have completed Lumen’s Introduction to Mindfulness course
  • Same structure as the Introduction to Mindfulness classes, with dedicated time for both instruction and practice
  • Guided meditation exercises and videos provided by Dr. Brian after each class to help reinforce the skills you’ve just learned
  • One-on-one focus session for each participant with Dr. Brian during the 6-week course duration
  • Course materials, videos and exercises included
  • Prerequisite:  successful completion of Lumen’s Introduction to Mindfulness
